Soya chunks has become a routine in everyone's diet these days...... good thing.... indeed! I've mostly done Soya chunks curry for roti... but when I saw this recipe I badly wanted to try this out.... It was a yummy side-dish for tomato rasam... I used the left-over for making sandwiches the next morning.....
You will need..........
Soya chunks - 1 cup
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Capsicum - 1 (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Kasoori methi - 1 tsp (crushed)
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Get going..........
- Cook the soya chunks in hot water and squeeze them out. Run it in a blender to crumble them.
- Heat oil in a pan and season it with mustard and cumin seeds.
- Add the onions followed by ginger garlic paste. Saute till onions turn transparent.
- Add the chopped capsicum with turmeric powder and saute it until cooked.
- Add chilli, coriander and salt. Saute well.
- Add the crumbled soya chunks. Mix well. Cook for a few mins. Add little water if the mixture is too dry.
- Now add in kasoori methi and garam masala.
- Combine everything. Add lemon juice and switch off the stove.
Enjoy it hot with rice or have it in your sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
