All you need is..........
Flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup (powder it up)
Pumpkin puree - 1/2 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Oil - 3 or 4 tblspn
Sesame seeds / Pumpkin seeds - 1tblspn
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Get going..........
- Add flour, powdered sugar and baking powder. Mix well.
- Then add the puree, extract and oil. Prepare a smooth dough.
- Roll out the dough into a 1/4 inch thick circle using a rolling pin. Cut into desired shapes.
- Decorate it with pumpkin/sesame seeds. Press it to embed them into the cookies.
- Bake the cookies in a preheated oven till the base changes colour. Remove from oven and let it cool on tray for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool completely. Store in airtight container.

ReplyDeleteI tried this recipe, Which type of flour should be used ?? I used half cup of all purpose flour and half cup of wheat flour.
But my dough became very soggy when i mixed half cup pumpkin puree(i prepared puree by boiling pumpkin).
Ended up with soft cookies :-(, but taste was good.
