Microwave Chocolate Cake (No Egg, No Butter)

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! This is my 50th post...... I wanted to make something special, and ended up in this quick, healthy, chocolatyyyyyy recipe..... I came out well and I had it topped with maple syrup which made it all the more interesting.... This can be made in a jiffy and you can even surprise the guests by serving a cake at such short notice..... Moreover, this being a single serving cake... avoids you from having a bake for days.... and adding pounds to your belly. This is in fact a healthy version and your cake craving at times can be immediately met.... Doesn't that sound interesting??????????? The original recipe is from Katie's blog. She has a lot of single lady cupcakes and I want to try all of them.... They are even more tempting at the way they  pose on her blog.... Now on to my 50th post :-)))))

You will need..........

Dry ingredients
Cocoa powder - 1tbsp + 2 tsp
Flour - 3 tbsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp
Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Wet ingredients
Honey - 2 tsp
Oil - 3 tsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp

Get going..........
  1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix all the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Now mix the dry to the wet and combine. Do not overmix.
  4. Pour the batter in a prepared microwave safe bowl.
  5. Microwave it for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Let it cool. Then pop it on to a plate, top it and enjoy.

This is how it looked when it was out of the microwave. Do not bake it for long as the cake would then turn rubbery and hard.

Enjoy the cake topped with chocolate sauce or maple syrup!!!!!!!!!!!!!


  1. this was the best microwave cake I've ever made! It was moist and delicious, and we topped it off with a chocolate ganache (a few morsels of semi-sweet chocolate melted in the microwave and then beaten until smooth with a splash of milk). Thanks!
